”Discernment is not knowing right from wrong, it is knowing right from almost right” – Charles Spurgeon
If you don’t have discernment you will be deceived. So, deception or discernment, which will it be for you – if you do not have one, you will have the other! And that is why we must never stop studying.
In this part I want to follow on from the last page and look at a few key scriptures along with just a very basic unpacking of those scriptures looking through the typological lens. What appears here is barely scratching the surface of what could be written but as with all the other sections, this is just an information board on your journey, it is not my intention to go into detail here, some people have 30 hours worth of teaching videos on each of these subjects but the aim here is to keep it simple and keep your attention, giving you a helicopter view. You can then go on to do the research yourself if you are interested, and to again quote my old history teacher, when we look it up ourselves we remember it better!!
So, let’s start by looking at these two passages, and I’ve just singled these out because they were the ones the Holy Spirit illuminated to first show me this subject.
Gal 3:26 ‘For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith.27 For as many [of you] as were baptized into Christ [into a spiritual union and communion with Christ, the Anointed One, the Messiah] have put on (clothed yourselves with) Christ.28 There is [now no distinction] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.29 And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham’s Seed], then you are Abraham’s offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise’. AMPC
Rom 2:28 ‘For he is not a [real] Jew who is only one outwardly and publicly, nor is [true] circumcision something external and physical.29 But he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and [true] circumcision is of the heart, a spiritual and not a literal [matter]. His praise is not from men but from God’. AMPC
We should see from these passages that not unsurprisingly this is all about Jesus, and us becoming Jews when we are found ‘in Him’, ie believers are Spiritual Israel, or the Israel of God (Gal 6:16). And to be fair, there are many people who I have spoken to who get this because it’s pretty difficult not to see especially once it’s pointed out. But, once we first understand that any person with faith in Christ is a true Jew and part of the Israel of God it should soon beg the question “then what does that mean for the ethnic Jews today”? And how do we correctly identify that country over in the Middle East called Israel?
Let’s look at this question of identifying modern Israel then using the typological lens of interpretation but first we will look at what happened after 70A.D. The remaining Jews who survived the destruction of Jerusalem were then scattered across the world. Throughout history people then hated the Jewish race for being ‘Christ killers’, ‘sons of their father the devil’, as well as for their prowess in finance etc etc. For me, as a disciple of Christ, that clearly is not a valid position to take, indeed Jesus was Himself a Jew.
And just as Paul asked, has God done away with the Jews, the answer back then as it is still today is no no, of course no! They are loved by God just as much as any other person or race that’s ever lived.
Then we get up to date and to the larger part of evangelical Christianity today, which thanks to Dispensationalism has swung too far in the opposite direction, supporting Israel whatever they decide to do simply because they are ‘God’s chosen people’. And that’s not correct either. Biblically it’s true they may once have been ‘God’s chosen people’, but even so that never did give them a free ticket to do whatever they wanted to do. And besides, as we saw in the two opening scriptures, the true chosen people are the ones who carry the baton containing those promises made to Abraham, and ethnic Israel handed that baton on 2000 years ago. When they failed in their mission to introduce the rest of the world to God and crucified the means of that, Jacobs Ladder, that stairway to heaven Jesus Christ, the baton for that task of introducing the world to God was passed on to Israel’s fulfilment, and I stress again fulfilment, not replacement, and that is vital to take on board. More on that fulfilment on the next page.
Today ethnic Jews as individuals and the nation as a whole are still just as loved by God as when Peter told them it is not God’s will that any should perish, but they are simply no longer the carriers of His promises. Typology shows us they were a type of the spiritual Jew ie anyone found in Jesus Christ. Jews today, like everyone else in the world, have been given the invitation to come into New Covenant with God via our common federal head and representative Jesus Christ, the fulfilment of the promises made to the Jews that go back all the way to Genesis 3:15 ‘And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel’.
If we stop and think about it, Jews, have effectively become Gentiles with regard to the covenant people. That is not intended to be derogatory, it simply means as a nation they have passed on the baton of being the carriers of the promise of Genesis 3:15, they are now outside the covenant, loved still but needing to get back into covenant with God, just as gentiles do. But, I can imagine how extremely offensive that is to a Jewish person because here is another example of how things are totally polar opposite to what we are taught today. We are told that Christianity is “anti-Semitic”. Well, as we have seen, many imposter or poorly educated Christians may have been in the past or maybe still are but after what we have just read, it should be clear that a true disciple of Jesus will have absolutely no hate for any person of any colour or any race in the whole world, only love. Yet to a Jewish person, anybody who is not a Jew is simply “goy”, Jews are still ‘the chosen race’ and the rest are inferior, to put it politely. You won’t read that in a newspaper but you will be amazed at what is written in the early editions of the Jewish Encyclopedia.
There is so much more to this though, so many more pieces to the jigsaw and it’s difficult to know how deep to go here but I will just mention one important point to their defence. Rabbinic Judaism, which is basically what most Jews adhere to today follows the Talmud and that is where this race hate comes from, modern Judaism bears little resemblance to Torah, to ‘Moses’ and the true ‘chosen people of God’. Clever people have worked out that most of the people in the Exodus must have been Egyptian converts because there simply wasn’t enough time for the few Hebrews who went down to Egypt to multiply into the number that came out. So these Torah abiding people couldn’t have been race haters, they were chosen to show God to the world and they did their job.
Somewhere on my journey I was led to look up the difference between a Jew, a Judaean, an Israeli, an Israelite, a Hebrew and a Zionist and that’s where I want to go now. Most people I’ve asked think they are all roughly synonymous but if we do our homework we realise that although the specific meaning of each is very revealing in itself, a Zionist is the real odd one out because his identity is based on political ideology rather than race or nationality.
Focusing on this then, Zionism is a relatively modern ideology (at least in name….) and anyone can be a Zionist, Jew or non Jew. Race doesn’t matter. Some say Churchill was a Zionist (now go for a two hour stroll and meditate on the implications of that if it were true…). So what is this Zionist ideology? Well, according to a guy called Larry T Smith, it is basically Rabbinic Judaism and here is a quote of his, speaking of this Rabbinic Judaism.
”Zionists and International Jews have resurrected this system today and believe they will rule the world with it as God’s chosen people. They have put the doctrine of Dispensationalism in the world to deceive the world and the church into believing this is the plan of God”.
I would well recommend listening to his brilliant and very thorough set of teachings on this subject, I’m not saying I agree with it all but it helps give a clear understanding of what we call Christian Zionism, and that’s what I am interested in. What we see with Christian Zionism is much more of a literal and physical interpretation of scripture. If you attend any evangelical church in the UK today you will almost certainly be a Christian Zionist if you listen to your preacher! I’m not discussing Catholics because according to AI definition ‘Catholicism is committed to scripture as well as its own traditions, so the meaning of the religion is not based solely on the Bible’. Enough said there.
However, if we really stop and think about it, nobody can actually show they are Jewish today because all the genealogical records were lost when the temple was destroyed in 70AD. Jewish people cannot prove their descendancy no matter what they say, yet they still believe they have a covenant with God. But surely anyone could do that couldn’t they? The actual scientific fact of the matter is that virtually everyone today, certainly in the western world, have Jewish blood in them to some degree or other. That has been scientifically shown with the advent of DNA and even if it’s only a tiny trace from several generations ago, I too can claim Jewish ancestry!!!
The book written to the Hebrews, before 70A.D. says of this Old Covenant system “what’s old and passing is ripe for destruction” (not a 2000 year postponement as Dispensationalism Theology teaches). Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 A.D. along with the temple, temple worship and all the records of the priesthood etc. And even if there is another temple built from what line will the priests come from when there are no records now? How can anyone prove the lineage of a potential Messiah??
Accusations of racism again appear around this point but it’s important to keep in mind that we are NOT talking here about individual Jewish people but about the Old Covenant system, the Levitical Priesthood. Also you will need to explain why there are huge numbers of Orthodox Jews today totally against Zionism. Did you know that?!!! Please look up about the huge demonstrations each year, Jews against Zionism. Some of these Jews even join pro Palestine marches so please don’t even think of calling me an anti Semite*. Anti Zionist, maybe, but anti Jew, NO. Sadly though, this deception is so advanced and now permeates so deep into our society that even our law enforcement often turns a blind eye to this distinction. Some say they’re complicit and it’s to protect the deception, well I’m not going that far but at best it’s total ignorance.
Back to scripture and we’ve just seen how dispensationalism views (or maybe even creates…) modern Israel as a Zionist (political NOT ethnic) nation state supposedly of ‘Gods chosen people returning to the land’, let’s now look for our answer how to identify modern Israel using the typological lens.
Romans 9 is a bastion for so many false doctrines, including here where it is the stronghold of Dispensational Theology. But that stronghold is dismantled without any effective resistance when we read Romans 9 to 11 through the typological lens and find how clear this issue becomes.
Romans in general is often described as the most theological complex book of the Bible but it earns that reputation simply by being looked at through this lens of Dispensational Theology. Looking through the typological lens, the Romans 2 passage quoted earlier shows that an ethnic Jew is a type of a spiritual Jew. Romans is a straightforward Gospel message that makes total sense to every Sunday morning church attendee after just one short sermon – Jesus Christ fulfilled all righteousness and the Levitical Priesthood is therefore now redundant, never needed again as Jesus Himself is True Israel. Paul assures the Jews that God has not totally rejected His people and they have equal opportunity to join this New Covenant in Jesus Christ. Think Occam’s Razor again. The gospel is so simple it takes a preacher to make it complicated.
So, there is the information I think you will need to correctly identify modern Israel. There is nothing new in this identification issue though, we actually saw the same thing in Bible times. Paul said ‘not all Israel is Israel’ (meaning not all ethnic Israel belongs to Spiritual Israel, Spiritual Israel being those who have faith in Him) and Jesus told those Jews who He discerned were outside the covenant, that if they were of Abraham they would do the works of Abraham. So clearly, Jesus called those Jews (spiritual) imposters, and even though they were ethnic Jews these people were outside of the covenant of promise, talked about in Romans 9. It must be remembered though that this was their choice. There was no hatred there from Jesus, it is not God’s wish any should be outside the covenant and that is exactly my viewpoint today.
Accidental Discovery of New Words!
Realising all that was a major milestone on my journey. Then, I guess from memory it was over a period of about six months that I gradually began to realise more consequences of this great deception, that more and more of the prophecies and events that my church had told me were in the future MUST have already taken place if I held to looking through this typological lens. There was no alternative, so many passages literally COULD NOT any longer be placed in the future. I discovered the word eschatology, and the eschatology that I had been unknowingly brainwashed with by church now had to change. As I began googling my thoughts I again discovered other people had got there first and I found out I could now identify as a “Partial Preterist”. Well, there’s terminology I’d never heard before, have you? It means a person who believes that most of the prophecies in the Bible have already been fulfilled, but not all eg Rev 20-22. For a few years then I started going through scripture, especially the prophets, looking through this typological cum Preterist lens and discovering that they all fit through that lens perfectly fine without any biblical contradiction or rounding of rough edges. It was getting more and more exciting too because not only did they go through fine but they come out so clear that it became easy to finally find their place in the jigsaw. They all fitted nicely, whereas before, looking through the Dispensational lens sometimes I had to chop off the edges to get them to fit, not to mention adopt what to me are now the preposterous wild imaginations of men’s minds, like 2000 year interludes for example where God puts Israel on one side whilst He conjures up a ‘church age’….!!
Then, like everyone though who walks with God, at some point we have to deal with the Book of Revelation. However that is a book that even most of the great Reformers and great men of the past have often dared not to tackle – so how dare I? But I did. I had to. We all have to, remember, discernment or deception.
It was a difficult task at first and like I have mentioned earlier, it would take 100 page book to describe my long journey but basically once I discovered that virtually every phrase in the book of Revelation is referring back to terminology or themes used in the Old Covenant, along with the realisation that it cannot be read in a linear way (there are many reasons but even if for no other reason than this – it just turns out nonsense if we even try) but is cleverly structured in at least two very different yet remarkably combined ways then even this book began to make sense.
Then, finally in early 2024, 6 years after my epiphany, I was doing a study in the local chapel and was asked to continue the study nights beyond the single subject that I wanted to share. The natural progression was to study the feasts of Israel. And after much difficulty, the Holy Spirit finally showed me that I must ditch my old church teaching that said the final three feasts were yet to be fulfilled. This also was leaving my Partial Preterist eschatology now and could the unthinkable be true, could everything in the Bible already be fulfilled? Could I be joining in that same progressive journey that I’ve now discovered so many other people have made already by reading the Bible for themselves and finally ending up identifying as a Full Preterist, who believes every prophecy and detail of the Bible has been fulfilled, including the so called Fall Feasts along with Rev 20 onwards, and even the Millennium too?
Well, as outrageously preposterous as this sounds, this was where my study led me. I very vaguely remember hearing somebody when I first got saved say some loonies think the Bible was fulfilled long ago but here, nearly 25 years later, after starting to read the Bible for myself rather than let others brainwash me, I’d let the Spirit of God lead me to that same loony conclusion.
And yes, it took quite a while to be able to put some of Revelation 20 through the Full Preterist lens but deeper and often extremely laborious studies of Old Testament terminology and figurative language sorted that one out and now I’m happy they can all be put through smoothly and find their perfect place in the jigsaw on the other side and I could be labelled a Full Preterist!!
Once again, when I have got someone who can do a table for me here, I have a detailed chart of the Feasts to show, biblically, how I arrived at this conclusion. The Feasts are the key, and that study is made even easier when we realise that in the original language the understanding/meaning of the Feast/Holy Convocation was a “rehearsal”.
I have stressed this multiple times already and I’ll begin to sound like a broken record soon saying that it is not my aim to go through the detail, I’m not cut out for that like others are, my aim is just to provide the signpost, the pointers in life that church vicars and then pastors failed to show me as a young inexperienced traveller.
That one major signpost that I rather fortuitously came across that diverted me off the dispensational motorway heading to deception was the signpost to typology and looking at Israel’s history through the linear lens of typology. And that’s why I’m making this my big topic here because typology is not exactly out there and in your face today in 2024. Once a person discovers that lens though, we can essentially do our own studies because so much difficult stuff we used to need a preacher to conjure up some crazy explanation for suddenly becomes plain obvious, although I have to say I still owe so much to the great although nowadays virtually unknown teachers who have so often put the meat on the bone for me after reading their books that they wrote long before Darby and Schofield arrived on the scene to introduce Dispensationalism and compromise the doctrine of most of todays teaching.
There are the scores and scores of scripture that I really need to go through but I’ll just use this and another one as my challenge to everyone still stuck looking through Darby’s futurising Dispensational lens. We looked at 1 Corinthians 10:11 at the Word ‘tupos’ but reading on we read of ‘upon whom the end of the ages have come’. Are you being true to yourself explaining away those words of Paul ‘upon whom the end of the ages have come’ as being future, along with when Jesus told His generation that they personally would not all die before He came back? Imminency is right throughout the NT and untold numbers of people around the world like atheists, Muslims and even people that grew up going to church use and have used those words of Jesus to discredit Him, call Him a false prophet and then reject Christianity because His words “never came true”. But, was Jesus a false prophet? Were all the apostles false prophets too when they predicted that those dreadful events were imminent, for those upon whom the end of the ages had come? How would you explain all that was future to a lovely Muslim friend who was genuinely asking about your faith? We MUST be able to give them a credible answer and the only credible answer is that Jesus and the apostles were correct.
So Where Now?
So where does all this leave us now, what about our future if Revelation is already fulfilled? In the next subsection here I’m going to share where I currently am on my journey, which will give my current thoughts on that question.
But. I don’t think anyone has ever exactly worked out the exact detail of our future as I do think the Holy Spirit reveals things progressively. Even if there was a coming of Jesus was in 70 A.D., which I do believe that is what the Bible teaches, I think we are all agreed that there will still be some form of return of Jesus at some point in the future.
There will be more on this in the next section but just one clue or thought to end with here. Did you know that there are actually very very few things that are common to all four gospels, and Barabbas is one of those few. Why did the Holy Spirit think this so important to include this man in all Gospel accounts when so much other seemingly far more important stuff isn’t?
Well Barabbas became important to me when I discovered his name means ‘son of the father’. The religious people of the day couldn’t recognise the true Son, and they chose the imposter. Now, if we meditate on that one for a while, keeping in mind what we’ve just discussed here about types and shadows, I wonder, is the church about to welcome the imposter Christ? Well, it’s already welcomed the imposter nation in many people’s opinion….And that’s why I’m so devoted to making known the content on this site. Typology tells me most people will reject it, just as most Jews rejected Jesus the first time but there is always a remnant that need to hear the message of the prophet and preacher.
————-
If any of you reading this now are churchgoing folk, can I please please encourage you to come back to this site, there will be more added here as time goes by to show how our Bible colleges and other institutions have been subtly but totally compromised this last 150 – 200 years. You may even be a very sincere God-fearing person but I will biblically show you point after point after point that you believe, the same points that I once believed, that are actually totally 180° polar opposite to the truth we discover once we read our Bibles and start to think for ourselves. I know you think that is preposterous but it is true.
Here is just one to get you thinking. I think it’s fair to say that we have all been told that Lucifer is the Devil haven’t we? Once I was even told he used to be the worship leader in heaven, I still haven’t decided who was more of a fool, the person who came up with that or me for believing it….
Well, when I started to read my Bible seriously I came across Isaiah 14 where he says Lucifer dies like a man and goes to Hades but hang on, isn’t the devil cast alive into the lake of fire as some translations say? And do spiritual beings really go to Hades, the grave? And what exactly is that lake of fire? Isn’t Hades itself cast into the Lake of Fire? We really do need to start thinking for ourselves because even if we are told 99% Truth in church (which incidentally I believe is a gross exaggeration!), please remember mixing 99% water with 1% arsenic is deadly. So, who is Lucifer? Well, the name means Light Bearer or Morning Star. Isaiah is being sarcastic and he’s saying something like ‘ha, so you think you’re the Morning Star do you then, well you’re dreaming mate, you’re not Lucifer, and you are going to Hades’. Ten bonus points now for guessing who I believe the Biblical Lucifer is another title of!! That leads nicely into the ending notes…..
———
* One day I will add another section to this site of the growing list that I’ve got of things that are 180° polar opposite to truth and this antisemitism business is one of them. History and DNA science can trace the history of most professing Jews today back to the Ashkenazis, originating from often forced converts in Eastern Europe following the scattering of the few Jews who escaped there from Titus and the Roman army in 70A.D.
The Palestinians are much easier to trace back as being Semites yet look who gets called anti-Semitic….!
And all this confusion comes about because people don’t think for themselves, they let our leaders and pastors do our thinking for them. That is spiritual laziness. Come on brothers and sister, WAKE UP.
Writing this is probably the most dangerous thing I do today because of the ever increasing laws to protect this deception and because of peoples total ignorance on this subject. It really scared me a short while ago when a Church of England vicar, the Reverend Stephen Sizer who shares similar views as myself was hauled before a tribunal where no distinction was made between anti Zionism and anti Semitism and the man was convicted of being an anti Semite even though like myself he clearly states and clearly explains why he is not. If church can’t see that, or probably blatantly chooses to ignore that, what hope is there for our legal system?
I testify clearly here again that there is not a molecule of race hate in me, a Bible believing disciple of Jesus Christ. Peter states, whilst encouraging Jews to recognise the fulfilment of THEIR OWN prophecies, ‘it is not God’s wish that ANY should perish’. Paul, a Jew, also said he wished he could be cursed if it meant he could help his fellow countrymen. A true disciple of Christ has no race hate, only the love of God.
And summing up this page, a true Jew will have no special interest whatsoever in the piece of real estate today known as Israel. Jesus said my Kingdom is not of this world. It staggers me why anyone who’s arrived at the destination would ever want to go back to the signpost…..
